These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of the TradesAround website, located at tradesaround.com.
By accessing this website we assume you accept these terms and conditions. Do not continue to use TradesAround if you do not agree to take all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.
The following terminology applies to these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Statement and Disclaimer Notice and all Agreements: "Client", "You" and "Your" refers to you, the person log on this website and compliant to the Company's terms and conditions. "The Company", "Ourselves", "We", "Our" and "Us", refers to our Company. "Party", "Parties", or "Us", refers to both the Client and ourselves. All terms refer to the offer, acceptance and consideration of payment necessary to undertake the process of our assistance to the Client in the most appropriate manner for the express purpose of meeting the Client's needs in respect of provision of the Company's stated services, in accordance with and subject to, prevailing law of Netherlands. Any use of the above terminology or other words in the singular, plural, capitalization and/or he/she or they, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to same.
Beta Service
TradesAround is currently in Beta. This means the platform is under active development and is being released in its current form so that homeowners, tradespeople and the TradesAround team can test it, find issues and improve it together. By continuing to use the site you confirm that you understand and accept the following.
Expect change
Features, pages, data, URLs, AI-generated Trust Scores, trade categories, location coverage and the look-and-feel of the site may change, be added, be removed or be reset without notice while we are in Beta. We are not obligated to maintain backwards compatibility with anything you see today.
Expect bugs
Because the service is still being built and tested, it may contain bugs, incorrect data, broken links, missing or duplicated listings, inaccurate scores or calculations, incorrect business information, downtime, data loss, failed enquiries, emails that don't arrive, and other errors. You should not rely on the platform for time-critical, safety-critical or commercially-critical decisions.
No warranty during Beta
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis during the Beta period. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties or representations of any kind, whether express or implied, about the Beta service — including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, availability, uninterrupted operation, freedom from errors, or non-infringement.
No liability for Beta-related issues
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TradesAround, its owners, employees, contractors, contributors and suppliers will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, economic or other damages or losses (including, without limitation, loss of work, loss of business, loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, wasted expenditure, or damages arising from a tradesperson hired via the platform) that arise out of or relate to:
- any bug, error, defect, inaccuracy, outage, performance issue or security incident in the platform;
- any change to, suspension of, or removal of a feature, listing, account, score, review or piece of content;
- any loss, corruption or disclosure of data during the Beta period;
- any decision you make based on information shown on the site (including Trust Scores, listings, reviews or AI-generated content);
- any services provided (or not provided) by tradespeople found through the platform.
Reporting issues
If you find a bug or something that looks wrong, we'd love to hear about it — please contact us at hi@tradesaround.com. Reporting an issue does not create a legal obligation on us to fix it, pay compensation, or respond within any particular timeframe, but we genuinely do want to know.
Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights
Nothing in this "Beta Service" section is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law — including, in the United Kingdom, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be disclaimed.
AI-Powered Verified Assessment
TradesAround operates an automated trust-scoring system called the AI-Powered Verified Assessment. Scores and trust tiers (Listed, Verified, Trusted, Top Rated) are generated by software that collects and analyses publicly available data. You should understand how this works before relying on any score shown on the site.
Data sources
The Verified Assessment draws on a combination of public APIs, official UK trade registers, and publicly accessible third-party platforms. These currently include, but are not limited to:
- Google Places / Google Business Profile (reviews, ratings, response data, photos, opening hours)
- Companies House (company registration, status, filing history, director data)
- Official UK trade registers and competent-person schemes covering areas such as gas, electrical work, building regulations, quality assurance and contractor accreditation
- Leading UK tradesperson review and directory platforms
- The tradesperson’s own website and publicly accessible social media profiles
We do not collect or display private, sensitive or non-public personal information about tradespeople as part of the Verified Assessment.
How scores are produced
Each profile is evaluated across six dimensions — Online Reputation, Qualifications & Certifications, Business Legitimacy, Digital Presence, Responsiveness, and Coverage — and combined into a single 0–100 trust score and a corresponding public tier. Scores are produced by automated software (including machine-learning and large-language-model components) and are refreshed periodically.
Accuracy and no warranty
The Verified Assessment is a guide, not a guarantee. Data sources may be incomplete, out of date, or incorrect. A high score does not guarantee the quality, safety, availability or suitability of any tradesperson, and a low or missing score does not mean a tradesperson is unqualified or unsuitable. You are always responsible for carrying out your own checks — including confirming qualifications, insurance, references and quotes — before engaging any tradesperson listed on TradesAround. Nothing on this website constitutes professional, legal or financial advice.
Human review and overrides
Our editorial team may review, adjust or override any automated score or tier at any time, with or without notice, where we consider it appropriate (for example, where new information becomes available, where an automated score appears anomalous, or where we receive a substantiated complaint). Such adjustments may increase or decrease a score.
Rights of listed tradespeople
If you are a tradesperson listed on TradesAround and you believe your score or underlying data is inaccurate, you may contact us to request a review or correction. We will consider all reasonable requests but are under no obligation to change a score. We may require supporting evidence (for example, up-to-date registration documents, corrected Companies House filings, or copies of reviews) before making changes. Listings themselves are free; tradespeople are not required to pay any fee to be assessed, listed or ranked.
No endorsement
Appearance of a tradesperson on TradesAround — whether as Listed, Verified, Trusted or Top Rated — does not constitute endorsement, recommendation, certification or sponsorship by TradesAround. We are not a party to any contract between you and a tradesperson and are not liable for the acts, omissions or workmanship of any tradesperson found via the platform.
License
Unless otherwise stated, TradesAround and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights for all material on TradesAround. All intellectual property rights are reserved. You may access this from TradesAround for your own personal use subjected to restrictions set in these terms and conditions.
You must not:
- Republish material from TradesAround
- Sell, rent or sub-license material from TradesAround
- Reproduce, duplicate or copy material from TradesAround
- Redistribute content from TradesAround
This Agreement shall begin on the date hereof.
Parts of this website offer an opportunity for users to post and exchange opinions and information in certain areas of the website. TradesAround does not filter, edit, publish or review Comments prior to their presence on the website. Comments do not reflect the views and opinions of TradesAround, its agents and/or affiliates. Comments reflect the views and opinions of the person who post their views and opinions. To the extent permitted by applicable laws, TradesAround shall not be liable for the Comments or for any liability, damages or expenses caused and/or suffered as a result of any use of and/or posting of and/or appearance of the Comments on this website.
TradesAround reserves the right to monitor all Comments and to remove any Comments which can be considered inappropriate, offensive or causes breach of these Terms and Conditions.
You warrant and represent that:
- You are entitled to post the Comments on our website and have all necessary licenses and consents to do so;
- The Comments do not invade any intellectual property right, including without limitation copyright, patent or trademark of any third party;

You hereby grant TradesAround a non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, edit and authorize others to use, reproduce and edit any of your Comments in any and all forms, formats or media.
Hyperlinking to our content
The following organizations may link to our Website without prior written approval:

- News organizations;
- Online directory distributors may link to our Website in the same manner as they hyperlink to the Websites of other listed businesses; and
- System wide Accredited Businesses except soliciting non-profit organizations, charity shopping malls, and charity fundraising groups which may not hyperlink to our Web site.

If you are one of the organizations listed above and are interested in linking to our website, you must inform us by email. Please include your name, your organization name, contact information as well as the URL of your site, a list of any URLs from which you intend to link to our Website, and a list of the URLs on our site to which you would like to link. Wait 2-3 weeks for a response.
Approved organizations may hyperlink to our Website as follows:

We shall not be hold responsible for any content that appears on your Website. You agree to protect and defend us against all claims that is rising on your Website. No link(s) should appear on any Website that may be interpreted as libelous, obscene or criminal, or which infringes, otherwise violates, or advocates the infringement or other violation of, any third party rights.
